March 5, 2000
When I was thinking of
buying this Bible, I
found that the
information given was a
bit inadequate and
confusing, so I'm
writing this review so
that you can know just
what it is that you're
getting. I got the
Hebrew-Greek Hebrew Greek Key Keyword Study Bible in NIV. What
it is is an NIV text in
English with
introductions at the
beginning of each book,
footnotes, NIV text
notes, NIV
cross-references, and
Kohlenberger numbers,
with grammatical codes
and their explanation, a
guide to transliteration
of the Hebrew and Greek
alphabets, lexical aids,
a scripture index, the
NIV concordance, and
Kohlenberger's
Dictionaries of Hebrew,
Aramaic, and Greek,
attached at the end. How
it works is, in the text
many of the words in
each verse have a number
next to them. You can
look up that number in
the appropriate
dictionary to find the
original language word
corresponding to it and
a full definition of
that word. Also, many of
these words also have
more lengthy and
detailed explanations in
the Lexical Aids
section, for more
insight. Also included
is an index that
cross-references between
Kohlenberger's and
Strong's number system,
so you can also look
them up in Strong's if
you have it. It's really
helpful and interesting;
I like it! =)

the NASB version--wish I

I agree--this is a great
tool. I think the NASB
translation, being the
most literal, lends
itself most aptly to
this sort of thing. I
love the NIV, but when
you're doing
Greek-Hebrew studies,
it's better to have a
literal translation.
This is still a
must-have Bible, unless
you know Hebrew and
Greek and can read it
without help.

Star Bible, March 2,
2006
Being a Sunday School
Teacher for
approximately 40 years,
I have been through
several bibles. My old
Ryrie Study Bible was
becoming rather ragged.
I ran upon the Key Study
Bible KJV and liked what
I saw. I feel right at
home with my new bible.
It has every feature I
could ask for in a
bible. Strongs
Concordance with Hebrew/Chaldee
and Greek dictionary is
a great book, but rather
large and heavy. With
The Key Study Bible,
this information is at
my finger tips, in the
back of this bible. I
love it.

lot of Bible "Bang" for
the buck!, March 2,
2006
I bought this Bible for
my wife who was excited
about the study helps,
notes and Strong's
dictionary included. I
was impressed that all
this was included in
this genuine leather
Bible for the money we
spent. The editor seems
to endeavor to give a
reasonable explanation
of various views before
stating his own. The
notes may not always
"stroke" the reader's
safely held beliefs if
he or she has been
carefully weaned on
particular doctrinal
philosophy. To me this
is good. Too much
dependence on the
positions of editors is
to be avoided. We need
to search for the
meaning of the text, not
just a quick
explanation. The
Hebrew-Greek Key Study
Bible has some detailed
explanations to be sure,
but there are other
helpful resources within
its pages as well.
Buying this Bible will
not be a mistake.

content BAD construction,
February 10, 2006
I just received my new
BIBLE(the Hebrew-Greek
Key Study Bible). I got
it in black genuine
leather. First let me
say I have tremendous
admiration and respect
for Spiros Zodhiates,
the Bible had excellent
content. However there
was a major problem with
construction. The
binding was coming away
from the pages, there
were pages loose, and
the printing was less
than I had expected. Now
with all that said on
content alone, I love
this BIBLE. It has every
thing you will need to
really dig in to the
word of God. It tends to
let you really dig and
find just what the
passage is saying,(not
just give you another
persons notes on the
subject.) Now for those
of you that are of the
mind set that KJV is the
only inspired version
this Bible does change
the text of the KJV,
mostly just modernizing
the spelling but some
words are changed
altogether. As I said
before I have the utmost
respect for Mr.
Zodhiates(the editor of
this Bible) and any
thing you buy from him
will be worth the money.
